Adaptate is all we have to do when we enter a new environment. Well, it seems to be easy to said. At the first time we feel that ‘it’s gonna be okay’ and there’s nothing to be worried. But when time has passed, we think that we’re alone. None understand us. People with all of their behaviour, traditions, and many local languages, make we feel like an outsider. Even they didn’t mean to. So, what we have to do?
Firstly, we have to enjoy the situation. Enjoy, a word that give us such a big impact. An Indonesian magician has a word “Be careful with your own mind” Really, a personal feeling can affect our mind and act. Even if we have strongly struggle to avoid stressness, and we pretend to be happy all days, it’s not gonna work effective. Because our mind is silently fluenting us already. Just relax naturally and enjoy the situation.
Second, try to get closer with the people near us. Say hello to the new neighbours or classmates. Meet new people and introduce ourself to others will make a friendship. Maybe some think that friendship can be called ‘friendship’ after a long period. When happiness and sadness by turns come. But at least, it’ll decrease our stress level and build our confident.
Third, helping others is useful. By helping our friends, believe it or not, happiness will automatically approach towards us. Beside that, we’re not living alone,right?
That’s just a pieces of tips which can help us to adaptate with the new environment. The next is up toyou. Hope this will be useful.
